Taught by Maggie Ruth and Em Tebbetts. In this community centered workshop, we will learn the basics of cyanotype printing on paper and fabric. On this summer afternoon, we will collaborate with the power of the sun to make blue “photographs” using seasonal plants, the written word, and various other materials, playing with shape, texture and translucency along the way. We will weave in simple somatic practices throughout to drop into our bodies and court an energy of playful creativity. From prepping the materials to caring for our prints post-rinse, participants will learn the whole process and go home with the spark and the skills to keep printing. Beginners warmly welcome!
